Specialist periodicals The Banker and PWM awarded Erste Group Private Banking for the second time as “Best Private Bank in Central and Eastern Europe”. This renowned international award is won every year by the most successful world and private bank groups.

According to the jury, “Erste Group Bank stands before the competition owing to private banking services on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. It keeps constantly increasing the number of clients and the volume of managed assets. The success that the bank has achieved for the last ten years provide evidence for its ability to come up with innovative solutions in different economic situations and successfully tackle new challenges.”

“Owing to our highly sophisticated solutions, the number of clients has significantly increased for the last period, which enables us to deepen our professional knowledge of consumer needs in our regions”, Peter Ipkovich, director of Private Banking Division at Erste Group said. “We see this award as another proof or our continued commitment to improve the financial services of the Erste Group. We have succeeded to comply with this commitment thanks to the devoted work of 200 private banking specialists and their knowledge of specific needs and challenges in the region of Central and Eastern Europe”, Ipkovich added.

Erste Group Private Banking provides a wide spectre of modern banking services in six countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and Romania). At the end of the first half-year of 2015 (H1 2015) it managed assets in the volume of almost EUR 16.6 billion for 15,000 clients in Central and Eastern Europe and around the world.
